Cellosaurus EndoC-betaH5 HLA-A2 (CVCL_E7A7)

[Text version]
Cell line name EndoC-betaH5 HLA-A2
Synonyms EndoC-betaH5-HLA-A2; HLA-A2 EndoC-betaH5
Accession CVCL_E7A7
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: EndoC-betaH5 HLA-A2 (RRID:CVCL_E7A7)
Comments Characteristics: Combines T-cell killing attack with measuring the indirect impact on insulin secretion and function loss (Human Cell Design=BH5-A2-350).
Characteristics: First transduced with two vectors pTRIP DeltaU3loxP-pY-TK-RIP405-SV40LT and pTRIP DeltaU3loxP-pY-TK-RIP405-SV40-hTERT where RIP405 is a beta cell specific rat insulin promoter and pY, the polyoma virus enhancer. Was then transduced with a Lv-RIP-CreERT2, treated with tamoxifen and gancyclovir thus removing the SV40LT and hTERT immortalizing genes as well as HSV-1 TK (from parent cell line).
Characteristics: Transduced with a HLA-A2-IRES-PuroR construct (PubMed=37442376).
Genetic integration: Method=Transduction; Gene=HGNC; HGNC:4931; HLA-A (Note=Allele A*2).
Genetic integration: Method=Transduction; Gene=UniProtKB; P13249; S.alboniger pac (PuroR).
Transformant: NCBI_TaxID; 1891767; Simian virus 40 (SV40).
Derived from site: In situ; Fetal pancreas, islets of Langerhans; UBERON=UBERON_0000006.
Cell type: Pancreatic beta cell; CL=CL_0000169.
Species of origin Homo sapiens (Human) (NCBI Taxonomy: 9606)
Hierarchy Parent: CVCL_C7TU (EndoC-betaH5)
Sex of cell Female
Age at sampling 8FW
