Cellosaurus mCCDcl1 (CVCL_B7HR)

[Text version]
Cell line name mCCDcl1
Synonyms mCCD(cl1); mCCD-CL1; mCCD cl1; mouse Cortical Collecting Duct clone 1
Accession CVCL_B7HR
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: mCCDcl1 (RRID:CVCL_B7HR)
Comments Characteristics: Expresses epithelial sodium channels (ENaC) as well as the necessary cellular machinery to enable their stimulation by physiological concentrations of aldosterone, including 11-betahydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (HSD11b2), mineralocorticoid and glucocorticoid receptors and have therefore been used as a model for the study of principal cells physiology (PubMed=15743993; PubMed=29357433).
Doubling time: ~24 hours (Direct_author_submission).
Omics: Transcriptomics; RNAseq.
Miscellaneous: Doubling time from personal communication of Rossier, Bernard Claude.
Miscellaneous: Sex of mouse and STR profile from personal communication of Hummler, Edith.
Derived from site: In situ; Kidney, cortical collecting duct; UBERON=UBERON_0004203.
Cell type: Kidney collecting duct principal cell; CL=CL_1001431.
