Cellosaurus HepG3 (CVCL_Y479)

[Text version]
Cell line name HepG3
Accession CVCL_Y479
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: HepG3 (RRID:CVCL_Y479)
Comments Population: Caucasian.
Miscellaneous: It is not clear if there is a single HepG3 cell line or many differents ones. The one described in PubMed=22912842 is is said to be a Hep-G2 'derived stable cell line containing an integrated wild-type DHBV head-to-tail unit-length genomic DNA dimer', but there seem to be old papers (like PubMed=1828229) using this cell line as if it was obtained from ATCC.
Derived from site: In situ; Liver; UBERON=UBERON_0002107.
