Cellosaurus HEC-LTT (CVCL_A7FW)

[Text version]
Cell line name HEC-LTT
Synonyms HUVEC Uni-TAg/bi-hTert
Accession CVCL_A7FW
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: HEC-LTT (RRID:CVCL_A7FW)
Comments Characteristics: Transduced with reverse tetracycline-controlled transactivator (rtTA), a fusion between a mutated version of E.coli TetR and the activating domain of HSV-1 VP16.
Characteristics: In the presence of doxycycline, hTERT and SV40-TAg expression are activated, resulting in high cell proliferation and unlimited expansion. In the absence of the doxycycline, cells stop proliferating and can be maintained in a growth-arrested state that reflects the status of endothelial cells in vivo (PubMed=26345505).
Genetic integration: Method=Transduction; Gene=FPbase; R9NL8; eGFP (Note=Enhanced GFP).
Genetic integration: Method=Transduction; Gene=HGNC; HGNC:11730; TERT.
Genetic integration: Method=Transduction; Gene=UniProtKB; P04483; Escherichia coli Tn10 tetR.
