| Comments | Characteristics: Expresses a transfected FUS-ERG (TLS-ERG) fusion protein. Mimics the features of primary human acute myeloid leukemia and of leukemia-initiating cells (LIC) and are more than 90% CD34+. Underwent step-wise transformation and immortalization through acquisition of additional genetic changes, such as expression of TERT, expression of LIC markers CD34, CD44 and CD123 and the stem cell gene BMI1 (PubMed=16094415; PubMed=22160482).
