Comments | Characteristics: EGF dependent. When deprived of EGF, about 50% of the cells die due to apoptosis within 24h. The remaining cells differentiated into neurons, astrncytes, or oligndendrocytes within 2 weeks. Doubling time: ~20 hours (PubMed=9719419).
