Title Characteristics of a continuous suspension cell line (BL20) derived from a calf with sporadic bovine leukosis.
Citation (In book chapter) Fifth international symposium on bovine leukosis; Straub O.C. (eds.); pp.519-528; Martinus Nijhoff Publishers; The Hague; Netherlands (1982)
Abstract This report describes the isolation and establishment of a continuous bovine lymphoblastoid cell line, designated BL20. The cell line was established by culture from the bronchial lymph node of a 4 month old calf suffering from sporadic bovine leukosis in its multicentric form. No viral agent has been detected in the cell line. Surface immunoglobulin was not detected nor did the cells carry receptors for peanut agglutinin. Cattle inoculated with the cells failed to develop macroscopic lesions.
