Cellosaurus OP27 (CVCL_WI58)

[Text version]
Cell line name OP27
Synonyms OP-27; Olfactory Placode 27
Accession CVCL_WI58
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: OP27 (RRID:CVCL_WI58)
Comments Characteristics: At the permissive temperature (33 Celsius) expresses a transcriptional profile representing intermediate-late developmental stages in the olfactory receptor neuron (ORN) lineage. At the non-permissive temperature (39 Celsius) can be induced by all-trans retinoic acid to differentiate into a population of mature bipolar olfactory receptor neuron-like cells (CelloPub=CLPUB00748; PubMed=12093156).
Doubling time: 52 hours (Note=At 33 Celsius) (CelloPub=CLPUB00748; PubMed=12093156).
Genetic integration: Method=Transduction; Gene=UniProtKB; P03070; SV40 large T antigen.
Genetic integration: Method=Transduction; Gene=UniProtKB; P00552; Transposon Tn5 neo.
Transformant: NCBI_TaxID; 1891767; Simian virus 40 (SV40) (Note=tsA58).
Caution: PubMed=10630978 incorrectly describes this cell line as originating from a mouse neuroblastoma.
Derived from site: In situ; Olfactory placode; UBERON=UBERON_0003050.
Species of origin Mus musculus (Mouse) (NCBI Taxonomy: 10090)
Breed/subspecies: C3H.
Sex of cell Sex unspecified
Age at sampling 10-11FD
Category Conditionally immortalized cell line
