Characteristics: Stably expresses EGFP-LC3-mRFP-LC3delta, an autophagic flux probe. GFP-LC3 is fused to the N-terminus of RFP-LC3 whose C-terminal glycine is deleted. When expressed, the probe it is separated into EGFP-LC3 and mRFP-LC3deltaG by the action of endogenous ATG4 family proteases that cleave the peptide bond after the C-terminal glycine of LC3 in the cytosol producing equimolar amounts of EGFP-LC3 and mRFP-LC3deltaG.
