Cellosaurus ZP124 (CVCL_U981)

[Text version]
Cell line name ZP124
Accession CVCL_U981
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: ZP124 (RRID:CVCL_U981)
Comments Characteristics: Selected using the 9-(1'-pyrene)nonanol/ultraviolet (P9OH/UV) method. P9OH acts as a photosensitizer. Normal cells which can incorporate the fluorescent fatty alcohol into lipids are killed by UV, but mutants who incorporate P9OH poorly are less susceptible to photosensitized killing.
Genetic integration: Method=Transfection/transduction; Gene=RGD; 61814; Pex2.
Transformant: ChEBI; CHEBI_21759; N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG).
Derived from site: In situ; Ovary; UBERON=UBERON_0000992.
Cell type: Epithelial cell of ovary; CL=CL_2000064.
Species of origin Cricetulus griseus (Chinese hamster) (Cricetulus barabensis griseus) (NCBI Taxonomy: 10029)
Hierarchy Parent: CVCL_HB34 (CHOTKa)
Sex of cell Female
Age at sampling Adult
Category Transformed cell line
