Donor information: Established from a sample taken just after the death at age 7 of McKenna Wetzel. When McKenna died, the Wetzels donated to researchers at Stanford University the tissues that allowed this cell line to be derived. They also created the McKenna Claire Foundation's whose mission is to help cure pediatric brain cancer by raising awareness, increasing community involvement and funding research.
