Cellosaurus EndoC-betaH3 (CVCL_IS72)

[Text version]
Cell line name EndoC-betaH3
Synonyms EndoC-BH3
Accession CVCL_IS72
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: EndoC-betaH3 (RRID:CVCL_IS72)
Comments Characteristics: The lentiviral vector insert containing the SV40 LT and hTERT can be excised by the Cre recombinase upon addition of tamixofen. Following excision of immortalizing transgenes, cell proliferation sharply decreases and in parallel there is a massive enhancement of beta cell-specific features such as increased INS gene expression.
