Cellosaurus CHO-MG (CVCL_7181)
| Cell line name | CHO-MG | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Synonyms | CHOMG; CHO MG; Pro-3 MG(R) 2-2 | |||
| Accession | CVCL_7181 | |||
| Resource Identification Initiative | To cite this cell line use: CHO-MG (RRID:CVCL_7181) | |||
| Comments | Selected for resistance to: ChEBI; CHEBI_43996; Mitoguazone (Methylglyoxal bis-(guanylhydrazone); MGBG). Transformant: ChEBI; CHEBI_23994; Ethyl methanesulfonate (Methylsulfonic acid ethyl ester; MSEE). Caution: Four MGBG-resistant cell lines (Pro-3 MG(R) 1-23, Pro-3 MG(R) 2-2, Pro-3 MG(R) 3-1 and Pro-6 MG(R) 4-8) were created (PubMed=730773). As it is not clear which cell line has been distributed under the name CHO-MG, we have selected Pro-3 MG(R) 2-2 as it is used extensively in the original paper. Derived from site: In situ; Ovary; UBERON=UBERON_0000992. Cell type: Epithelial cell of ovary; CL=CL_2000064. | |||
