Breast Cancer Cell Line

Description

A hypotriploid cell line from mammary gland; breast; duct; primary ductal carcinoma, held at ATCC, included in Cancer Genome Project at the Sanger Institute.

Notable Features

Hypotriploid, with 20 structural chromosome abnormalities, including two reciprocal translocations – t(1;8) and t(10;13). All cells contain dmin involving chromosomes 1;5;22. No normal chromosomes 1, 2, 13. Losses involve 3, 4, 5, 6, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20; gains involve 7, dup (18).
