Cellosaurus CH-P1R2.DS (CVCL_D3WL)

[Text version]
Cell line name CH-P1R2.DS
Synonyms P1R2.DS
Accession CVCL_D3WL
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: CH-P1R2.DS (RRID:CVCL_D3WL)
Comments Characteristics: This is a class II diphtheria toxin resistant cell line. The resistance of class II mutants cannot be overcome by increased concentration of the toxin. They possess a mutationally altered EF-2 which does not serve as a substrate for ADP-ribosylation by diphtheria toxin (PubMed=6928655).
Selected for resistance to: UniProtKB; P00588; Corynephage beta diphtheria toxin.
Transformant: ChEBI; CHEBI:23994; Ethyl methanesulfonate (Methylsulfonic acid ethyl ester; MSEE).
Derived from site: In situ; Ovary; UBERON=UBERON_0000992.
Cell type: Epithelial cell of ovary; CL=CL_2000064.
Species of origin Cricetulus griseus (Chinese hamster) (Cricetulus barabensis griseus) (NCBI Taxonomy: 10029)
Hierarchy Parent: CVCL_D3WJ (CH-P1R2)
Sex of cell Female
Age at sampling Adult
Category Spontaneously immortalized cell line
