[Text version]
Cell line name MDA-MB-435-LCC15
Synonyms LLC-15MB; LCC15-MB
Accession CVCL_B055
Secondary accession CVCL_1U14
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: MDA-MB-435-LCC15 (RRID:CVCL_B055)
Comments Problematic cell line: Contaminated. Parent cell line (MDA-MB-435) has been shown to be a M14 derivative (PubMed=20143388). Was first thought to originate from the femoral metastasis of a breast carcinoma but was later shown to be contaminated by MDA-MB-435 (PubMed=15679051).
Registration: International Cell Line Authentication Committee, Register of Misidentified Cell Lines; ICLAC-00231.
Population: Caucasian.
Derived from site: Metastatic; Right buttock, hypodermis; UBERON=UBERON_0013691+UBERON_0002072.
